Draft Engine Expert Analysis
Nick Chubb failed to gain positive yards on only two-thirds of the 15 carries he received inside the 5-yard line last season. He also caught only 11 passes while scoring just twice over the second half of 2019 after Kareem Hunt returned from the eight-game suspension he served to start the year.
There's no way Chubb isn't a valuable fantasy back next season, but you might not want to reach on him and expect elite production. The Browns seem committed to getting Baker Mayfield right, which could come at the expense of the rushing attack. It'd also be rather surprising if the team doesn't use Hunt a bit more. He's too good of a player to only use on third down. And while Chubb is likely in for a positive regression around the goal line, he won't be as good elsewhere.
