On Monday, the Jacksonville Jaguars officially moved on from Leonard Fournette, closing the book on what was ultimately a very disappointing run with the team.

In 2017, the Jaguars passed on both Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson because they felt they were set at the quarterback position with Blake Bortles under center. Instead, they opted to go with Fournette, who never quite looked as good as he did at LSU.

Fournette is still a talented running back, and his fantasy owners shouldn't panic just yet. There's still a chance he'll end up in a situation where he'll be counted on to pound the rock. However, nobody will give him the opportunities he had in Jacksonville, where he touched the ball more times per game than all but seven other running backs last year.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars have to move on and they'll do so with a committee of Ryquell Armstead, Devine Ozigbo and Chris Thompson. Armstead figures to get the first crack at the lead job, but Ozigbo possesses more elusiveness—and ultimately upside. But Thompson could end up being the best fantasy player of the bunch. Reunited with Jay Gruden, Thompson will be utilized heavily as a pass-catching option this year.

Another player to consider bumping up in your rankings is rookie Laviska Shenault. On top of being one of the better receivers on the roster, the Jaguars also plan to get Shenault some wildcat touches, which is something he is used to from his college career.
